Alright so my peppermint shrimp I got when I started my tank up has to go. I got it because had some aiptasia. I haven’t seen any aiptasia in probably 2 months so I would think I’m in the clear. Well my peppermint has found the desire to eat my hammer coral. I have been trying to catch my shrimp but have not had any success. Does anyone have any tips?

Glad you caught him. I used to have two peppermint shrimp, and one decided to feast on one of my hammer corals as well. He came very close to destroying it. I got him out with that exact same water bottle trap.

My other pepp is a model citizen.

I also had issue with my peppermint shrimp x 2. Pretty sure they killed a BTA, and also a couple acan frags. One disappeared, I caught the other when I broke my tank down for an upgrade/build (not recommended method, but since he was there...) and gave it to my LFS. NEVER AGAIN
