Need some advice here. I have a peppermint shrimp that keep chowing down on my hammer coral, but only one head. I think he has finally killed it :(. Should I leave the head on? Cut it off? If I need to cut it off can somebody coach me through the process? I’m very new to the coral life.

Cut the head, off the peppermint shrimp; set a trap for it using water bottles.
oooo, I have been trying to catch the brat unsuccessfully! They are FAST! Just food in a bottle?

Lol, as much as I want to kill the shrimp, they did what I got them for AMAZINGLY! Had a bit of an aptasia infestation and they took care of it in 2 days! Have yet to see another.

Movie doesn’t play for me... but looks more like a camel back shrimp... VERY similar to a pep, but they do damage to corals

That's interesting! I JUST noticed that this one has a white tail, while my others have brown/black tails. It's irritating because I got them all from the same bin marked peppermint shrimp. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Gonna try and trap him tomorrow right before feeding.
