I was near my tank as lights were dimming and the water was clear and everything looked great. I have been having issues with my wav powerheads so I went over and turned the lights back on about an 20 minutes after they went off and I had hundreds of things floating it almost sent me into a panic until I looked closer. I turned the skimmer off and took out the filters. Am I correct are these Peppermint shrimp? If so can I do anything to help them survive?

Pods or if you have a peppermint shrimp sometimes they will spawn after lights go out. Free food for the fishes or other organisms.

I do have a couple Peppermint shrimp. Didn't look like the fish were interested in them. Unless they already ate a lot before I seen it. Doesn't look like pods these clearly have a shrimp like tail, I also have a couple big cleaner shrimp and would love for it to be those.

I’ve seen my peppermint spawn. It swam to top of the water and starting doing flips as it released “spawn”? Pretty cool to see. This was with my first tank years ago.
****I don’t know how to post the video
