I generally just dump in my salt into the water. It will be cloudy for a short time and clear up with a powerhead or recirculation pump.

If you see particles remaining at the bottom of your mixing container the next day, it may have precipitated, when using a powerhead or recirculation pump.

Really?.... It's always cloudy initially... Chill bro! Puff..puff..puff....pass.....

its been over 24 hours with no clearing and yes i can see like a dust in the water column i just dont know if it will clear in time or should i start fixing it now

Should have cleared in 24-30hours. What salt brand?

On the other hand, most salt mixes say to slowly add to water. Sounds like it may have precipitated.

This is in a mixing container, right? Not a tank with sand? Just checking.

I'd mix a new batch.

no it was a new tank with sand

Oh, well it's most likely from the sand, not the salt mix. I stand corrected.

It should clear up in a couple days. Run some filter floss or a sock to help capture the fines from the sand.

i think i added salt to fast and caused it to percipitate i was in a crunch if thats the case will it clear in time or will i have to restart or water change it out??
