I noticed my 2 percula started to hang in the one upper corner and swim upside down side by side and such. They do a bit of pushing each other around but nothing serious yet. I worry a bit because they splash at the top and I don’t want to find one in the floor. Is this normal? They’re young and I had gotten the first one a couple weeks before the other but was told at the LFS to be sure the second is much smaller so i did

They are just starting to pair off and decide who wears the pants so to speak lol....Get a lid or a screen lid so air can exchange freely

Do they only hang there at night? Some individuals like to chill in one spot in the day, but at night swim off to a corner to sleep.

Also you don't actually need to have the second be 'much smaller' or even smaller than the first, if they are still small. I can't quite tell from the pic, but yours do look pretty small. Either way, nothing to fret about too much. If they get along they get along. Pushing is fine, but yeah just watch out for any serious aggression.

I would also suggest getting a lid or a mesh. Even if one does not jump from being bullied, fish are jumpers and could just jump out for whatever reason, like being scared of just some random thing.
