What in your opinions is the perfect equilibrium between affordability and stability when it comes to aquarium size?
Around here people start with 55s not knowing the pain that awaits them with such a skinny tank.
In my opinion a 75 gallon seems to be what I would pick had price been an issue. It is a perfect rectangle, which can accommodate every style of light. The shape also allows good aquascape and with a deep sad bed you do by need overkill lighting.
Sumps that small are easy to diy and all the equipment that size is always on Craigslist at the very least. Every LFS I go to has 24-48 inch everything haha. If someone gets more into the hobby, upgrades are only a savings away
Biocubes are the other popular economy tank, however stock they are inferior to most setups. Biocubes are everywhere and cheap as can be.
So what would you recommend to a beginner who doesn't want to invest an arm and a leg just yet?
