Peristaltic pump

In looking at its specs, I would say that it runs too slowly at its max speed. Max speed is stated to be 500 ml/hr which equates to only 8.3 ml/min. That too slow for CaRx use IMO.

Yes but they specify this flow with 3mm tubing.... Usually the peri pump for CaRx what tubing is using? Could be possible to increase tubing size and so the flow?

An economic alternative could be this.... Someone have been used?

Not sure, do they offer a range of tubing sizes compatible for jse with that peristaltic pump? Understand, it has to be larger diameter tubing for the “rubberized” tubing that is pinched by the rollers to increase flow volume. As an example, Masterflex and Watson Marlow pumps allow a variety of tubing sizes to be used to accommodate different flow requirements. In order for that to be possible, they have an occlusion adjustment that allows you to adjust the depth of the rollers to adjust to the different tubing diameters and various wall thicknesses for the different sized tubing.

That second one you listed, I do not understand the language, but it does say Kamoer FX-STP which is a widely used budget peristaltic pump for CaRx use here in the States.

The newer ones are now WiFi capable.

Looks like a budget version of the Kamoer FX-STP. For an inexpensive alternative and good customer service, have you looked at the Ecotech Versa pumps?

I recently got this pump. I got it off ebay and I paid $129.
I don’t understand the Aqua Excel branding. The literature I got with it calls the model a K01, so I’m assuming it’s a Kamoer branded as Aqua Excel. However, it doesn’t seem that aqua Excel sells these? Odd.

Anyway, it’s dead silent and very consistent after a week. I think it’s a great way to save $150+ compared to the alternatives. The tubing is the same as the kamoers.

Thinking of buying one of these. What is your long term review? Will it automatically come on and start pumping if i put it on a timmer switch?

I just responded to your PM, but yes, this thing is still working flawlessly. Yes, it picks up where it left off when power is cut and the turned back on. It would work fine for your application....but as I said in my PM, I’m not sure why you’d put it on a timer? Will your CO2 regulator be on a timer too?

PH is getting to low at night. I was down to 7.64 last night and that is with a co2 scrubber running. My co2 will stay on but will cut off at the solanoid if it gets to low so should maintain the ph inside the reactor.
