So I just picked up some, zoas, birdsnest, blasto and a mushroom and after I got them the owner informed me he thinks he may have dino. Would a dip in peroxide help prevent dino from getting BACK into my system? If so how long and how much peroxide should I dip the coral in? Should I do this before it after a pest dip?

Got them acclimating I think I'll do a 20 second dip in 50% water 50% peroxide. I'll dose peroxide to my tanks nightly again. The tanks have a flourishing population of algae so it should out compete dino

Zoas and palythoids have a skin/flesh/coenenchyme(sp) that often has inclusions - parts of the environment like bits of rock or flecks of substrate and algae are all possible w the genus actually uptaken and jutting out of the base. Dinos can hitch and be unreachable by peroxide though no harm trying.

The zoas and mushrooms plugs are perfectly white while the birds nest and blasto have brown sludge on them the supposed dino

All you can do is try

I've been watching your Dino challenge posts lately and you'll have a system down for curbing them in tank soon/you haven't been hesitating to clean and burn them out willingness to go to battle is key. You'll find the system tune soon don't give up

If they're good frags spot clean em as best you can. Me personally I couldn't risk re importing but you may have already used em

I removed the corals from the frags. Glued them to new clean plugs. Brushed the non flesh parts with a soft toothbrush and did 20 second peroxide dip. I think it should be okay

I just dipped a leather, acan, duncan, and a mushroom in a 50/50 peroxide/RODI mixture fir approx 2 min without any problems. My coral QT was hit hard by dinos! Peroxide kills dinos instantly. I followed up that with a 5 min dip in RODI freshwater then rinsed in tank saltwater prior to moving to my DT. No losses so far after 10 days, but the duncan still isn't happy.

I did 50/50 peroxide tank water for 20-30 seconds I pray to god that was long enough. My zoanthids instantly got covered in a white skin/film which is odd. With peroxide doses elevated nutrience and uv I dont think it will be able to come back again. The corals were removed from their plugs and placed on fresh ones as well lowering the overall surface area dino was possibly populating.

I don't normally do much with quarantine tanks, but this would be a good case.
Treating a coral and dino only small volume gives you much more flexibility than a reef system.

Both tanks are nano so the small volumes of each should make treatment easy. I kind of think I have the swing of things with treating dino in a nano
