Hello I decided to try a peroxide dip when moving 3 torches from my basement nano to my main display as a preventative as I recently had some tissue recession.
About 5 minutes later in my tank they now look horrible as if there is oxygen stuck in the tissue from the 3% peroxide.

I did 280ml to 1 liter tank water.

I have attached a picture
Is this normal or did I just kill my corals?
They looked good just not perfect before
Now they look like I nuked em

Honestly 18 minutes is too long I use peroxide often and i will dip for maybe a minute while swooshing the coral to clean it well. If its in too long the peroxide gets into the coral and creates bubbles that get trapped. These bubbles eventually release but they usually create holes in the coral stressing it out further pushing it towards death. I would watch it closely and try not to stress it further. Because the bubbles damage the tissue they can become extremely susceptible to bacterial infections like brown jelly. If this happens I usually use peroxide, I just don't dip for 20 minutes. Not great but this alone likely wont kill it.

Thanks for the knowledge! This is good to know.
I really hope brown jelly doesn’t pop up and take out my existing dragon soul that’s been doing so good.

lesson learned today

if you get brown jelly there are methods to rescuing your corals. I personally use antibiotics but a lot of people challenge this method and don't like it.
