Soooo... I had a terrible outbreak of velvet. Pretty frightening. I'm a little new to this so I did quite a bit of research. I had already lost a few fish within a week in my reef tank. I decided to do it the perioxide way. I have one lone fish who seems to be a survivor, ( mandarin with thick slime coat) I dosed my tank with 15 ml of 3percent ho2o at 8 am this morning. At 11pm did a 50percent water change. ( what do I have to lose at this point) I also used green Victoria early am. Still cloudy in tank but " trip" seems to be feeling better and ate. Fingers crossed but I'll keep ya posted

Soo my corals did take a beating when I dipped them I'm perioxide treatment, feather duster did lose its head. Mushrooms struggling a bit but kinda the same when I was first cycling tank. However mandarin dragonet looks really good . Vibrant. Shed a coat of skin. I do have lil white specks all over glass. Gonna try to post a pic. Any help or advice is gratefully accepted. Seems no matter how much I try to educate myself this is clearly a trial and error hobby.
