Perry's 90 Gallon SCA Acro Upgrade

Tank is coming along, running basic, uv seems to have stabilized the system. The tank is about to get interesting, as I will use 2 additional kessil lamps on either side of the A500x.
The A500x is mounted at roughly 15" over water line and using 55 degree reflector to put a narrow beam on the pyramid. On either side, mounted at 9" I will run an A360we with a slight angle inwards toward the pyramid, the idea is to use kessils like and old school Japanese spotlight system. This should look really cool, and should provide more than ample par, but also reduce shadows.
More to come :)

Sounds good, Perry

Hope you have a nice holiday season… :)

Sounds like that empty canvas is about to get a little busy. Make sure you have enough fish poo. My answer to every problem.

Looks like you'll have some good flow in there Perry. What pumps are on the back wall?

Tim,
I have 2x Sicce Xstream 5000 just to keep back to front flow. MP40 provides most flow, in reefcrest mode at 80%. Also use gyre type pump for additional random flow.

14. Purple stylo
15. Beach bum
16. Grafted setosa
17. Bubblegum
18. Watermelon psammocora
19. Undata
20. Chilli pepper

Added a Hawkins Echinata and Red Dragon over the weekend. I also ordered a $1000 Battle Box for 15 additional frags. That will darn near fill the bommie, from there, all about the care.
I switched over to TMPR salts, and did 2 20 gallon water changes over the weekend. All new corals should arrive Wednesday, which I decided to take the day off, going to be a busy day !
More to come :)

BattleBox will be exciting to unpack so be sure to share a list and some pics!

Did you leave it wide open or provide some guidance?

Well I mentioned that I love millis and smoothies, and tenuis are cool, but I also dig the classics, lol. I opted for 15 corals, option was for 15-20- or 25. I truly think this order will complete the structure, I will have to be very picky after that. I am excited to unpack, may do a video ;)

27. Sunset Milli

So this is the updated list, just scored some chinky pieces that will arrive in a couple weeks. 23-27

Tomorrow is Battlebox day!!!
15 new pieces to add to a killer 27 other pieces, oh its about to get interesting!!!

Nice! I can cut you a few things from my tank. Only got tenuis though

I will definitely be in touch, but tbh, tenuis look really cool up close and under heavy blues, but I prefer a daylight look, something close to nature. I find a true pink stylo to be fascinating for example, and looks amazing in 6500k-20k. This is where Kessil really looks sick, as close as I have seen to halide, as far as led goes. Of course I could run my tank blue, but more old school, and my husbandry, will have to dedicate an entire new update for that, lol... hmmm....Let's just say, 16k daylight appearance, and heavy fish feedings with lots of fish, with very heavy export. The tank will incorporate a hybrid AF/ Zeovit method. To me, heavy nutrients would be a disaster in my desired spectrum settings. One of my favorite scores is the Pearlberry, it will take center stage.
More to come :)
