personifer angels with ich

Hi an LFS is selling me a pair of female personifer angels. Yes you read it right!! For a very very low price. They got them as a mistake. They have been treating them for ich for 2 weeks with copper and are doing very well. I will be quarantining them. Should i acclimate them to the QT with copper in the water or wait and then treat?. i was thinking of doing 1/2 dose intially and bring it up slowly. Thanks for your help.

Do they have any signs of ich? If not, do you know if they were at the full 0.5 dosage for two weeks?

You should do what you've planned to get the full 3-week treatment.

Confirm the 0.5 reading yourself. If accurate, acclimate them into a QT with the same exact copper level and treat for 4 weeks. You'll also need to deworm using Prazipro afterwards.

I would suggest not drip acclimating. Go ahead and match the copper in the QT to what he's already in, but match salinity as well. Then float for temp and add directly to the tank. It's a bit easier on the fish than putting them through a drip acclimation.

I agree on matching copper and treating for another 4 weeks. You cannot count any time at the LFS for a multitude of reasons, unfortunately.
