Hello all,

Can anybody help me with identifying this tiny coral or pest anemone? It is and stays very small (max. 1 centimeter = 0.4 inch), has small ("hairy") tentacles, is brown and yellow and doesn't seem to bother the corals. Nevertheless i want to make sure it isn't some kind of pest. A search on the internet didn't give me a positive ID.

Thank you in advance!

Maybe Majano anemone.

Thanks for your quick reply.

that was what i first thought of, but it doesn't have the 'bubbles' like the majano's have. And it stays small (max 1 cm). It has more feather like tentacles.

I have still no clue. Maybe this will make it easier to ID?

Hi Melvine,

Did you have the chance to figure it out what that pest anemone was?
