That is exactly why I haven't bought live rock from a. Lfs in close to 15 years. I especially won't buy it unless it's fully cured as well, that way it is usually lit well and you can see exactly what's on it, although I now aptasia is 100 % impossible to avoid every time. I do have one store that had had pools of live rock going for 25 years and is in a greenhouse type place, and I know the stuff is ***** expensive, I think I paid 12/per pound last time I got some, but worth the money considered the chances of getting hitchiker pest is minimal. But as far as the pest anenomoes go I have had great success with "Joe's juice" in the past and it came with a syringe to apply it, it's somewhat pricey but is reef safe. I'm not sure if it's still available but check it out. Other than that I had an outbreak really bad like your in my 130gallon reef one one time and the only thing that worked was removing small amounts of live rock and putting them in a black 5 gallon bucket DRY BUCKET with the lid on for a couple to a few days at a time then replace the rocks you took out and repeat with the rest. I know this sounds bad and the chance of losing precious livestock is there, but when It happened in my 130gallon it was my only option at that point as I tried everything else even most of the stuff from this post /threads I know it sucks but I just had to do this with my small tank with my rocks to get rid of the green turf algae, yes... The one you gave me advice on, and thanks for that bud and all the best of luck if I hear of a better safe option I will let you know.
