Just picked up a toadstool and threw it in some coral rx. 6 or 7 of these guys jumped off!

And that is why we dip!

I took my cutters and dismantled the rock to nothing to get the toadstool off.

I would bet that's a cirolanid! It sounds like it would be a Sphaeromatid by behavior, but that doesn't not look like a Sphaeromatid.

Can you touch it with a pencil and see if it can completely roll up on itself?

The cirolanids roll up some, just not completely.

Those eyes are so front forward, but I honestly wouldn't think you'd find a cluster of the parasites leave a leather after a dip. That's what I would expect from a Sphaeromatid.

I think I would put my money on it being a Sphaeromatid. Final answer

There's no way a cirolanid would be all over a leather. I'd bet my rep on it.

They came out of the rock the toadstool was on... toadstool came out of a mixed reef tank at a LFS

I changed my final answer, no such thing as final in this guessing game. LOL! I don't have a rep to gamble with.

Go look up Cirolana harfordi and see what you think. I usually know better than to second guess my gut.

Just googled Cirolana harfordi, that's what they looked like. Just glad I dipped and broke the toadstool off the rock so they didn't make it to my tank.
