Pest ID please

this post you made, just looks like a spaghetti worm tentacle. And they move fast. I seen my cbb try to slurp them down.

I’ll recheck but sure I’ve seen them not attached to main body…. I’ll get-microscope on it shortly

if there is no head under the microscope, I'd be sure it was a hair worm - spaghetti worm related species.

This looks like a dorvilleidae. Harmless

Even if im wrong, there are several other detritus worms it could be. Harmless clean up crew.

Managed to pull the worm but it snapped…… put the bit i had under microscope, what you guys thinking?

Im sure its a nematode which will feed on worms in the detritus. It couls also be an Oenonid which is a clam predator and will burrow within rocks and sand.

Say hypothetically it’s a worm in the rocks with tentacles, how am I ment to get it out…. Wait till it gets to a certain size where it can no longer fit in the rock and looks for another?

The one in the video never comes out of that rock, if it is a worm with tentacles….seems to feed on detritus…… but it’s not something I want in the tank

Talking to the other guys on here aswell(minu) and rewatching that video…. It seem strange how it puts itself straight before pulling back into the rock….. Does look tenticuly how it retracts

Boys and girls
I dont know why you dont want him. But, he'll die soon from not being able to capture food. Theres probably more in the sand.
you were right, tentacles….. can see 4 originating from same hole in the rock
