You're definitely on the right track. After clicking on the picture and then zooming in, I can see that those are skin folds and not part of a shell.Looks like an elysia (spelling?) Species which are harmless but agreed better photos are neededi
Can you take a picture with a sheet of white paper under the container? It's extremely hard to make it out with the background.
Is that a small shell on it's back and is it relatively fast moving? If so, it looks like a stomatella snail to me, but it's so hard to tell from the photo.

Nidibranchs get colors from their food, so if it’s yellowish brown, it most likely eats algae and detritus!
