I'm thinking this is cominella quoyana ..whelk with it being carnivourus is it friend or foe, will it attack other snail members inc tiger conche. I have spotted 3 so far nothing has been added to the tank in months, so could they have come with the live copepods I put in (be gentle ,I'm clueless on this ha ) so do I squish or keep ?

Personally I’d keep until they do actual damage.
As for how they got in, they most likely came in in something you added 3 months ago and went undercover.

Whelks eat clams. I'm opposite from I can't think, is remove before it does damage and multiples.

Soooooo, I've watched them and they are busy little foragers , they also climb up the tank , the pic is taken with this one grazing on top of my tiger conche , which is why I've only assumed the name , is there an omnivorous version , I don't want to destroy for no reason tis all , I personally like the critters that are abound in the tank ps only softies in there, mushrooms , Kenya trees and nems .. are they considered flesh for them maybe ?

Whelks do not have eye stalks. Their eyes are black dots on the siphon. Whelks only eat meat. They do not eat algae. Will prey on anything it can overpower.
