Hi All,

Monti eating nudibranch. Remove ASAP an inspect under the plug for Eggs from the nudibranch

Agree. You can see where its eating thr monti

Ugh. Pulled it off. I'll keep an eye out.
Are there any other precautions? Can't really pull the plug off as it has now grown onto the back wall.

Thanks!

Hopefully It didnt lay eggs but chances are it did.

Seal up any nooks or gaps between the coral and the plug with SG.

Cross your fingers

Buy a halichoeres wrasse, I recommend the yellow one as is beautiful, it will help you, that wrasse eats nudibranchs and flatworms, yet it will only help you reducing the source of damage, not exterminating the source of damage

Hi @Picasso the Triggerfish.
I did have a yellow wrasse, but he unfortunately was an escape artist. We have no idea how, but he did escape. He was great, lots of personality. I want to replace him, but currently the selection of fish at the LFS's is extremely limited and they didn't have any the last time I was there.

Thanks!

Had monti eating nudis once huge pain once I thought I got rid them all a month later i guess the eggs hatched and I got more thought the monti was a goner for sure but eventually beat them by dipping the frag every other week lightly brushing with a soft toothbrush and even used tweezers and a magnifying glass to pull a few off monti came back better then ever Goodluck

Not sure how many other monti sps you have in your tank. But best way to find is using a blue led when lights are out. They stick out like a sore thumb. Most have a slight shimmer. Good luck with the battle.

Thanks for the tip @DaAznGuy!
I only have one other monti and it has started to plate nicely on the back wall. So far nothing appearing on that one. I will keep my eye open. And hopefully I can get another wrasse in the not too distant future.

Recent FTS....enjoy!

Tank is looking good! Make sure you check the under side of it at night. The babies are harder to see. They can be super tiny.
