I noticed a few vermetid snails on one of my coral frags the other day pulled it dipped it and crushed the snails. But there was 2 I saw on my rock work so I pulled that rock too. My question is will they live out of water? How long should i dry the rock before i put it back in my tank?

Dipping is not that effective for Vermitids. When at this early stage the best results i have found are destroying each tube you find with a hard object like a screw driver.

Ok will dry out the rock for a few days also kill them off?

Yes but would also kill the beneficial bacteria and other critters in the rock. Causing even more work, having to cycle the rock again
