I posted a similar post on my build thread but the bottom line is that my tank is being overrun by pests. I have bubble algae, hydroids, and aiptasia. Maybe even some hair algae. I've had the tank setup for about 1 year but lately in the past few months these pests have shown up and have started to take over. I fear that the only thing that will resolve this is a full tank breakdown and maybe replacing the rocks? I really don't know how to proceed. I pretty much just want out of the hobby at this point. I put my tank up on craigslist but doubt anyone will buy it for a fraction of what I put into it. I am frustrated and my anxiety does not help. I just want to give this thing the boot! Any chance anyone has an easy solution?
I'll be honest I haven't tested in a good while but my parameters were all stable when I was testing. I have all the test kits to test Calcium, Alkalinity, Phosphate, Ammonia, Nitrate, salinity, ect. but the only thing I've tested lately is salinity and temp has been stable according to what I've seen on my temp controller/thermometers. I do auto dose calcium and alk and manually dose magnesium.
I can run a full array of tests if anyone thinks checking my parameters will help. I do a 10% water change every two weeks religiously.
Let me know, I am feeling pretty down about this :-(.
