i bought a couple shrimp from them the other day because they wanted 12 dollars instead of 28-50 at any other store for the same one, and now I regret it. everything was looking good in my tank til i got them and now my yellow coris wrasse is wasting away from the tail heading toward his head. the closest thing I can compare it to is hith with an oscar. I think that the shrimp carried something that the wrasse caught and is now dieing from. I think i am gonna just have to put the wrasse down if he isn't improving by tomorrow, let me note this was all of a sudden and the wrasse was looking great until I put those shrimp in there and over the period of 18 hours turned to a half dead looking fish

They also had a queen angel stolen from thier biocube..... why was a queen angel in a biocube? Oh well who am I to say, they are supposed to be the experts.

i dunno. they are pretty stupid there. that was my first and last buy there. i don't care how nice the acan colony they have in there for 50 bucks is.( it is nice, but I don't trust it, their "expert" told me that running skimmer on a big tank increases bad algae growth. he also said aiptasia is good for a tank. I really don't get it)

look ill tell u from my experience dont go there i hate to bash the place and as always ill swing by once a week to see if i can rescue anything but past that nothing man i still to this day have cyno problems from listing to there expert advice lol and cmon what were u expecting did u look at thier tanks? i know the price is better but i would rather pay more and it live than buy for of the same thing and lose them all when fish from other places r thriving and growing. when i quit talking to them and asking them my tank did a turn around and since i have been fixing all of there mislead advice mistakes.

yeah. i won't go back. they have one piece of coral I want, but I won't want to deal with another infected piece from them. I mean come on. how bad could those shrimp been, well i dunno I am about to lose my only fish to it. lol.

Did you add the water the shrimp came in to your tank? And I would expect the coris wrasse to get really fat when you add shrimp, to my understanding its like desert for them. if you didnt add the water from the bag to your tank I dont really see how they can infect the tank that fast, I could be wrong but I dont know that a shrimp can carry a parasite either?

i might have added a couple ounces, but I dumped half the water after the first part of drip acclimating them. i don't think added much if I did.

Most store have poor water, try to avoid adding any water, better to have the fish or shrimp sit in a dry net for a minute than add parasititc water to the main tank

This is exactly why I quarnantine everything from bryan :) ......... JK

Yea coris wrasse and shrimp not a good combo....

Brandon

I got brine shrimp for my labouti wrasse.... if you want to feed your wrasse cleaner shrimp thats cool.

Man that must have been a big promotion :)

they had been fine together for a long time. the wrasse is the one that ended up dieing. my wrasse was on a mix of flake food and brine shrimp once a day.

yea he was probably a smaller coris then.

In time he would have had a good snack.
