Does anyone chase pet hair in their tanks? I have a canopy on my tank but hair still manages to get in it.
My cat is long hair and it floats in the air. When I change my sump socks they have cat hair in them. I don’t think it can be stopped. Anyone have any thoughts on this.

I’m going to resurrect this thread because I have two hairy dogs, and I have to pull hair from my system daily. Granted, I don’t have a lid or screen top, but my SPS always have hair wrapped around them. I’ve found that it wraps around them and digs into the flesh because of the strong current. Do screens even help when most of our stands are open in the back, allowing things, such as hair and dust, to float into the sump?

I have screens on the top of my tank but my goldendoodle's hair still gets into the tank. As you mentioned, the back of my stand is open and I suspect the hair gets in via the sump.

I have a Bernedoodle and a Bernese Mountain Dog, so there’s no shortage of hair. I wish there was an easy way to prevent hair from getting into my tank; I’m sick of putting my arm in every day or two.

My wife has been nagging me about getting a second dog. She wants a bernedoodle... she had a burnese mountain dog when she was a kid and absolutely loves them. They're both beautiful dogs.

I've been lucky so far, only had to pull hair out of the DT a few times. My beef is having to pull them out of the sump foam. So, like you, I'm hoping someone can chime in with a way to keep the hair out of our tanks.

I have 2 dogs and a rabbit. Rabbit hair is worse. In end “I gave up” trying to keep it out. I see it clinging to my pumps all the time. Blowing in The current. Lol
