Hey all!

So about 6 weeks ago I ventured to Petco to get some frozen food (nearest LFS is 30 mins away and Petco is 2).

While there I noticed an emperor angelfish on the brink of death. Covered in spots and what appeared the be ich and worms. The fish “specialist” gave it to me at a HUGE discounted rate. So I bought him (I never get fish from here). But he was treating the fish with “general cure.”

Nope.

It’s been six weeks now and he looks amazing! I’ve done a FW dip and a couple prazipro dips while in copper.

That being said he has this one huge white spot/lump/growth on his tail. It’s been there for 3 weeks and it’s the only visible sign of anything I can see on him. I’m worried it may be lymph so I want to take him out and use a razor blade and cut it off. But I need others help/opinion.

Lots of nutrient rich foods and good water quality. Then, I would just leave it and the fish will eliminate on its own.

Great advice ^

I'd feed vitamin enriched foods, keep up with water quality, and keep observing. It could very well go away on it's own

My blue cleaner wrasse ate that lump off my yellow tang and now you cannot tell there was ever anything wrong.

I love the emperor angel but love my corals more. Sure would like to hear if you have issues or not with your corals and this angel.
Thanks.

I want to keep it but I love my corals...

My fiancé wants to keep it.

I have a 125 and a 29 cube. I have a 55 just sitting around I may set up and use as my reef. And Lee the 125 as a FOWLR tank.
