Acclimating him right now. Here's his neighbor

He's a dull tan right now. About 7 inches when open. Mouth is good and he's the stickiest nem I've ever held. Normally the smooth latex gloves allow me to pick them up without much sticking. This guy is different.

They had another carpet but it wasn't a haddoni and was about 2 inches and bright white. This is my first time at a petco that carries salt water. Was almost sick when I saw his price compared to my green one. Would have saved me a ton, but don't mind spending extra for an anemone I know will make it. I hope this guy is a pet co Success story.

I felt bad taking him from the clowns in the tank. The lady had to get a net to get the little guy out of the anemone. Wish I could have gotten him. Unfortunately I already have two clowns. Just noticed he has stripes on him.

Under my lights it's a faint blue. And when I said it was sticky... It got stuck to the glass 4-5 times when I was placing it. It's been in the tank for maybe 5 mins and already buried it's foot. I have never seen an anemone this sticky. Ever.

After feedings, and treatment it's mouth is completely closed and it's color is dark green. Here's a picture with flash

Under actinic he glows, I just can't get that with an iPhone. I've been feeding it every 2-3 days a mix of
Mysis, and brine. It was being treated in a 20 gallon tank with a 400 watt halide. This is my quarantine for clams and anemones.

Questions on your tank. 20 long or 20 high? What type of flow are you using if any? How high off the tank are your lights and what type of bulbs/K are they?

60 gallon cube. I'm using a wp-25, and the return pump is pushing out some nice flow. I use an Apollo led 5000 at full blast on blue, 40% white, 20 inches above the water. And 4 T5 bulbs that are all 12k over the tank. I was using one 400 watt halide but I get more par with my new set up. My clams are growing more than ever and my acans are puffy and large. The carpets are doing very well, and I've stopped feeding them all together.

I thought you treated in a 20 by a previous post. I am trying the same thing rather then just plunking into a tank this time. That's what I am curious about, how you set that up. Or maybe it was a typo and you meant 60 rather then 20?

My bad. I thought you meant the actual tank. The quarantine is a 20 long. I use a small tunze surrounded by egg crate for flow. A 400 watt halide is the light source.

I ran into my local PETCO a couple weeks ago for dog food and they had a couple then as well. I was surprised, jammed in these little 7 gallon display cubes with some snowflake clowns. They must come in batches? I would bet Columbus and western PAare in the same PETCO region. Regardless great looking carpet!! You got an insane deal my friend.
