I'm glad you restrained yourself. It would not be fair to baby Dory to plop a newcomer with who knows what diseases in with her after she has come so far. Unless I'm mistaken and you would would have had another QT just for the newcomer. IMHO, you should wait until everyone is healthy and out of QT before adding any new fish.

I definitely would have put the new one in a separate tank but doing too much all at once is another reason I walked away

Tomorrow is the day she can start to come out of hypo, then it's going to be observation time.

She's still doing great! I wasn't able to get a decent pic this morning but I'll be keeping a close eye on her while I start to raise the salinity

She's still doing great! I'm slowly bringing her out of hypo. I'm also working on my qt for all of my other fish, been tearing apart my dt trying to catch everyone all week. Almost all of my corals are in 5 gallon buckets and I only have one fish left to catch

I finally caught all of my fish from both of my dts and have them in a 40 gallon breeder for right now(I have a divider in there to keep the two pairs of clowns separate). I had an idea about treating them for ich and the prazi resistant flukes and wanted to see what your thoughts are. I think I was overreacting when I thought I saw signs of velvet because I haven't seen any more symptoms and haven't had any losses. The qt is currently at 1ppm with copper power, I contacted a chemist at Thomas Labs and he told me that there have been successful cases of using fenbendazole along with copper without any adverse effects. I don't have another qt to transfer them all to, except a 10 gallon that I could move a few to and reduce the bioload, so I was thinking of draining the qt down to 15 gallons and administering the 12 hour bath in the tank followed by a 100% water change (with copper already added to the new water) and repeating the process in 5 to 7 days.

Do either of you think that this would be an effective treatment?

Sounds like a decent plan, just maybe keep the 10g as back-up in case you need it.

How long has it been established? I think the most danger is with very well-established DSB... if it’s less than a couple of years old, and taken out gradually, should be ok.

Maybe someone else will chime in with tips/tricks to removing it.

It has been in for about a year, it is working quite well though as my nitrates are always very low
