Petco rescue, two tangs

A completely generic response... The article was right though, they aren’t able to hire and hold onto anyone capable of caring for sw. I’m sure if they had kids seeing dying hamsters everywhere they would resolve the issue quickly but only us notice the fish
They should stop selling sw fish. I doubt selling them adds that much to the profits. I’ve always believed if you can’t properly take care of an animal, you shouldn’t have it. :/

I was going to say the same thing. They should do away with it

Ok, new plan. I think you should try dosing the prazi and Furan-2, do them an hour or two apart - prazi first.

Make sure lots and lots of water movement / 02. Hopefully, the added water volume will help avoid a repeat of the last dose.

Tomorrow, dose Furan-2 again like usual... and then the following day (48 hours) do a water change, and then dose both antibiotics together.

It’s the best plan I have, I’m worried about going 24-48 hours without the antibiotics...
Question...I remember reading that the prazi has done its thing by the 24 hour mark, would it be a good idea to just do the water change tonight and get her back on the antibiotics? She is doing great by the way, I haven't seen any more flashing but the infection is still red

Edit: I spoke to soon, I just saw her flashing...

Yes, I do believe Prazi is pretty much expended at the 24 hour mark. I think if I were you I would do the WC get the ABX’s going again and do a 12 hour fenbendazole bath when you get it. Fenbendazole pretty much will eliminate flukes, worms, etc and is very gentile. This will allow you to keep the ABX levels stable for the length of treatment

I will do that, thank you

Prazi can suppress appetite too, so a water change might help her eat more.
Luckily she is eating the medicated pe mysis but she only nibbles at the nori every now and then

Most adult flukes are dead by 10 hours, so 24 hours is pretty safe if you want to get the antibiotics back running.

Keep in mind, the flukes are gone but the bite marks aren’t and are healing... so there could be some residual irritation for a day or two post-treatment.

If it persists more than a few days, I’d think you likely have prazi-resistant flukes and definitely would need to try the fenbendazole.

I’ve got a Huma Huma in a hospital tank right now. He was eating like a dang pig until first dose of Prazi. I’m now thru the second dose & associated water changes and he’s at least sniffing the food now, but not eating. The yellow tang on the other hand, is eating all Maui’s (That’s the Huma Huma’s name) food.

The blue tang didn't eat much during the first dose of prazi but did eat pretty well after the first water change. I did just give her some Grindal Worms too

Wow! I haven't yet placed the order for the stuff I need today, I'll get a list together. Thank you so much!

She wasn't happy after her water change but it allowed me to get a good pic. The yellow tang is about to get a water change too so I'll see if I can get a good pic of him

Had to check in before lights out (fighting allergies) ..How’s Baby Dori?
She's doing good, settled down now after a stressful water change and relaxing:)

Once again, I just had to say thank you for being such a kind soul. Don’t know many people who would be doing all this. @revhtree, is there a badge for this level of caring/kindness/dedication? :)
I never thought helping these poor fish would draw this much attention, and that's not at all why I even decided I wanted to do this. All of you have been so supportive and overly generous, I am extremely grateful.

It’s what you do in life when nobody’s watching that really matters. ;)

You’ve done a fine job, sir!
