@ngoodermuth is it necessary to continue the daily dosing of MB? I thought I read (can’t find it now) that 3-5 days was the therapeutic dose - albeit NFG will dose some more every time.
I was going off of Humble's post that stated 10 days in the QT tank... I wonder if we should stop it

Ya - but they have been doing this for some time so unless evidence is compelling otherwise (which they will also know) - stay the course with them. They have gotten you pretty far already!
I did just do one other thing I didn't even think to do the last couple water changes... I rinsed the junk off of the sponge in the hob filter!

She is breathing a little slower after another 5 gallon water change and a re-up of the MB and biospira (as well as rinsing the sponge in the hob this time). She's still eating and has energy. I just gave her the lrs herbivore frenzy and she's popping out of her pipe to grab a peice every time one floats by

Oh yeah, got a taste of that good food! LRS is some very good food. My fish go nuts over it!

She likes it!
I was reading through Humble's posts about fish nutrition and saw that it's the only frozen food, or fish food in general, with probiotics, luckily my lfs sells it!

That pic reminds me of an animal cruelty advertisement.

My son-in-Law is currently and my daughter use to be (now she is big cat keeper at the Zoo) animal cops in Louisville. I have seen people get in trouble for far less cruelty!! That fish looks the absolute worse I have seen. Sorry old yeller didn’t make it but hopefully this one pulls through!! [emoji1317][emoji1317]

Cat keeper at the Louisville zoo? I live in southern Indiana and frequent the Louisville Zoo, at least twice a month. Huge fan of the new tiger exhibit. Wish they would get the saltwater display up and running.

I’d say whenever you start to notice the heavy breathing, do a water change...just like you have been. And follow your normal schedule otherwise. Ammonia is going to be a significant concern until the MB is done, so better safe than sorry.

I’d follow humble’s directive on the time-frame for using MB. I know when you use NFG (or any antibiotic) you’d want to treat for a minimum of 10 days, so it makes sense to do the same here.

You are really doing great, just keep doing what you’re doing!

She enjoyed her breakfast of Grindal Worms this morning, she's still doing well:)
