Does anyone know when the dollar per gallon on tanks starts?

Anything in particular to check for? I haven't bought any tanks from Petco for this same reason. But my buddy bought one last year and had no issuesSomeone else commented that their quality has gone down, so be sure to check the seems in the tank before buying it
Not sure, but I just want to give you a heads up on the quality of those tanks being made. Inspect the tank for the silicone. Last time I looked at 20g high tanks. I went to 3 Petcos. I bought one and had to bring it back, because one end of the glass was way off. What I thought was going to be a quick exchange, nope. The other tanks there were garbage. Went to another one and they were all sloppy. Went to the next one. They had 2 tanks with chipped glass. I told the manager. They never pulled them off the shelf.
I got my 29 galQT from petco on their last $1 a gallon sale and its great. The manufacturer of the tanks themselves I believe, are from Marineland not made by Petco they are just the distributor. Just to clarify, if its being implied that Petco is making the tanksAnything in particular to check for? I haven't bought any tanks from Petco for this same reason. I bought a 40 breeder during their sale last year and it was pretty hefty. Drilled no problems. I just drilled a 20H from there a few weeks back and knock on wood that's doing fine as well.I have a 20,10,5 gallon from petco. Love them for QT tanks. The 20 would make a nice display.. Have no issues with them. I bought a 40 breeder many years ago for a tank move and it was in my garage for ages before I sold it. The 40 was super solid and heavy I might add. REally thick glass and made well. I hope they keep up the good construction on the low price aquariums.
