Just wanted to share my experience with Petco in case any one ever needs to know. Basically, Petco Sux.
Due to their very reasonable prices, I placed an order. I ordered a coral, randalls goby, pistol shrimp, feather duster and some snails. Ordered the stuff on Jan 2nd and according to their online delivery schedule, it was supposed to have been shipped Monday and delivered Tuesday. Wednesday I received a package but it only included my coral. The other items I ordered weren't shipped. According to what I see in my order status, it was divided into 2 shipments for some reason. Has not shipped yet. I've called a few times, but customer service is terrible. I have asked both times when I can expect delivery of the 2nd package and the only thing they are able to tell me is "It looks like the order has not been processed yet. We will call you when we ship it. " According to their website, all items were in stock so I don't understand the delay. The foreign based representative didn't have a clue about anything about my order. She sounded cute, sure, but couldn't understand a word she was saying and she wasn't able to even pronounce the names of the fish I ordered. I have nothing against other races and I know nothing is her fault. She needs work just like everyone does, but I couldn't understand her. Was pointless to call.
Not only this, but for some reason, Petco would not deliver to my home address. I had to use a relatives address which is 15 minutes down the road. I don't understand this at all because I've never had problems receiving my packages before. Ever. In addition to that, they would not honor their 20% off new customer promotion code becuase this does not apply to live fish. My experience with petco has been terrible and I don't recommend anyone to shop there.
The one coral I did receive, arrived alive and well. Contained a starfish that popped out during the dip process.... it may have already been dead I duno.... but it was packaged very nicely anyway, in a way that prevented any type of damage to the coral. It's not the prettiest frag I've ever seen, but I guess it just needs to grow a bit and open up fully.
Bottom line tho, Petco sux. Don't bother with them.
