I changed the 12k bulb out for a pure actinic maybe a month ago to see if it would help my rainbow acan turn back into rainbow acan lol. All of them had turned red or orange, losing all the.green and purple. Today I noticed just.a little progress as some of the colors.are returning.

The tank has been doing very well lately. I have been feeding extremely heavy, should probably test nitrate. The colors are really popping and growth is really good.

I have been thinking about fragging acan lately and decided to give it a shot tonight. This is the first time I have fragged acan, and I guess we will see how successful I was. I don't have a saw, so I used shears. Wish me luck lol

Also if you feed those guys they will go crazy. Pop babies every 15 days.

Thanks guys.

The tank is very well fed and they do have decent growth. If all goes well I'll be fragging 10-12 more. This morning they are looking pretty good. They all have the feeders out, so I'm assuming the damage wasn't too bad. Its still just a wait and see how long it will take them to heal up.

So I started trying to raise the alk in thus tank by dosing part 2 every day. As a week went by I was adding more and more everyday to just keep it stable. Now I'm having to dose part 1 with it also. I did notice a pretty good growth spurt with the sps, and I'm guessing this is the cause. So fully saturated kalk seems to not be sufficient anymore. Just my luck as I'm fixing to start moving all the sps over into the 40 haha. But that's ok, maybe the growth will continue at this rate in the 40.
