so, I was experimenting with this, and had good success so far. it is a Petsmart plastic cave, either put on the gravel, or glued to a magnetic frag rack

Thinking about it, I prefer the one on the gravel.

if you mounted onto a magnetic frag rack, I highly suggest that you get a rack with two magnets, so it does not tip over.

There's absolutely no guarantee that it will stay in that thing. While BTAs like having their foot in a crevice, similar to the cave opening, yours may abandon it for more ideal conditions. Water flow plays a big part in where an anemone ends up.

+1 to this, but it’s really cool if it does stay

Very true that there's no guarantee it'll stay in (but is there a guarantee a BTA will stay anywhere? :D )

I've had this a few inches below or to the side of an MP40 (NOT in front!!!) with good lighting, and it seem to be content. Opens big while the lights are high, mostly hides away and deflates when the lights are low or off. So, IMO, this is a tenatative success fo far. :)

I made a nem rock. I took a piece of pukani, cut the bottom flat and then drilled out a two inch diameter hole. I then used some Nyos reef cement from years past and molded a nice pocket, for lack of a better term. I put a Kessil A80 directly over the rock which comes on before the main lights and the rock is by itself in the sand, affectionately called "nem island." BTA generally won't walk on sand.

Anyway, I placed the nem in the hole and it hasn't budged since day one. That was December 18th.

here’s how it’s doing as of today. I think placing it directly under the MP 40 it’s not quite the optimal place. I may be adjusting the mp40 some.
