I just installed a CO2 scrubber and am seeing Ph of up to 8.45 (hit max of 8.47). When I searched through Ph threads, there’s seems to be those who say 8.45 is too high (or at least pushing the upper limits) and those who say it’s fine.

There are also a number of threads re: methods for “turning off“ the Co2 scrubber, and most of those seem to focus on an upper limit of 8.35 or 8.4.

is there any definitive or authoritative position re: ”high” Ph levels?

thanks!

Do you know the margin of error of your pH test?

Regardless, I wouldn't worry

I got embarrassed here once thinking over 8.3 is even stable,
I’d check that against another probe, meter or whatever just to be sure
…in the meantime I see no panic
