Ph 8.8 co2 alarm went off

hello reefers, i bought rodi from lfs today and topped off my tank i also installed my new ai prime 1 hour later my carbon monoxide detector goes off and i check my ph to be 8.8 dose anyone have any familiar experience ?

What carbon monoxide detector?

I assume that the tank is filled with salt water.

It is very unlikely that your tank pH is 8.8 and is likely to be a measurement error

Stick a finger in if it starts rubbing off then it’s 8.8 which I highly doubt

This is very confusing. Presumably you mean a carbon monoxide detector? It is not a carbon dioxide detector and you should be personally worried for your health when it goes off. But it cannot possibly be related to high pH, which is almost certainly pH test error unless you added a huge amount of very high pH alk additive by mistake.

If your cabron monoxide alarm is going off, forget your aquarium for a moment. Go and open some windows and step outside. Take a few deep breaths.
