Hey everyone. Haven’t posted in a while
So ph my tank no matter what I do I can’t get it over 7.7
Waterbox 65.4 aio
I have a co2 scrubber with fresh medium to the skimmer so that was my biggest add on
Not sure why. Surface agitation is decent. House is large. I haven’t checked co2 in the house.
many recoomendations other than my failed co2 scrubber to get the ph up?
Ps im
Not changing. Haven’t but whenever I check that’s what it is
Nitrate 2ppm
Alk 9
Calcium 440 mag 1350

Mine out of the blue dropped to 7.73 this week. Don’t know if I can blame it on Covid, but that what I’m doing. I tested positive for Covid Monday and went into quarantine. Pretty much never opened a door to the house. This morning I opened all the doors and let the house air out. By 13:00 this afternoon, PH was back up to 7.95.

worth a try.

It'll be CO2 in your house. I have a 2yr old, high efficiency home and had a huge problem with like 7.7 to 7.9 PH all the time in summer with ac on and house closed up. Had to install a small exhaust fan in a window that I run on low during the day and now the tank is 8.2 -> 8.4.

If you do get a co2 meter you'll think its broke when you check your house; Outside was 417, with exhaust fan running (after 2 days) it was 520 or so in the house, sealed up with ac on it was 1400.

That’s why I bought a scrubber. But I do not have a co2 monitor hard to find in Canada it seems

Just bought an inkbird co2 house Monitor. I get it tomorrow. Interested to see what the figures are

If you have scrubber media in line you should be able to get that PH up at 8.3-8.4 with ease. Also based on the idea no matter what you do you don't see any difference I'd say try a different test option and make sure you're not being mislead.

Just for some context on my tank. The days where I'm not at home, the tank will run 8.45 or so as the peak. With two peole it'll top out around 8.35 and with more you'll see it dive down further. I've had a party with around 70 and the tank went down to 7.75 for the night.

Needless to say, I'd be eager to see what your CO2 readings will come out with. If you really are at those numbers I'd say your in home air is a little high in CO2 and potentially even give you a mild headache.

Well that’s not the issue. So I have upped my surface agitation. Turned the return nozzles up abs moved the Nero’s higher up as well I guess the fish are consuming a lot of oxygen?
