Ph drops to 6.8

So I recently did a tank swap and thaught my parameters were off or my test kits were off. I gotbnew test kits, and went to a few lfs for testing and what I found out was my pg prob on my apex needed to be recalibrated Andy ph was really low. If I leave stand door open it will raise in a few hours 7.9 at night and 8.1 during the day. If I shut the doors it starts to drop again.....

Would just running a air line to my skimmer work?

Should I put a fan in the opening of the back of the tank?

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance
