Hey so now that's it is getting hot and I have to shut the windows. My pH drops super low 7.7. during the day. I have tryed the co2 scrubber but I used a hole pack in 2 days so that started to hurt the bank. I have a tube ran from skimmer to out side. That doesn't seem to do anything. The only thing that seem to work is puting a fan in the window. But that out question when it's 100 degrees out side. Is there anything else I can do?

Yes there is... Don't Chase PH my fellow reefer. As long as your inhabitants are looking good, then all is right with the world.

Same here friend. I run my ac with the window by the tanked cracked. Huge difference in pH.

I would do absolutely nothing at all.
Hobby grade tests of PH are just not that accurate, your 7.7 can easily be 7.8 or 7.9.
My DT has run 35 months with lights on Ph of 8.0 and lights off 7.8, or, at least that’s what the probe says.

Yea well I trust my Apex and when. I see it dropping during the day and not going up that's what conserve me. And yea if my pH was 8.0 lights on I wouldn't do anything either

Some people run their skimmer lines outside to pull in outside air.

Dose some Kalkwasser and your ph is good. Kalk removes co2 to make bicarbonate. By binding to it . Btw kalk tends to lower phosphate to .

he said he tried that, it didn’t work.

Oh yes I see that now.

I run my ac and small fan in window cracked. I am cooling the outside in that room but the pH change is drastic. Only for a few months anyway.

I been thinking of switching to that from my 2 part. But I got that all dialed in so I haven't been to eager to switch. Thanks

Back off the 2 part just a bit . Then dose Kalkwasser a little to . If you use a ATO it’s easyer. Mix the kalk in the reservoir, and the ato does the rest .

Try setting your co2 scrubber up to recirculate, ie place the air intake in the Skimmer cup.
