Hi,

I have a mature 180g tank with Large colonies and got tired of having to constantly mix three part (I was mixing 15 litres every two weeks) to keep up and decided to try out a Calcium reactor.

My pH used to be 7.8-8.2 before moving to CaRX. Now, even though I have started to dose Kalk in my ATO and have restarted my refugium on a reverse light cycle My pH hits a low of 7,55 at night and a high of 7,95 during the day.

Is this too low?

The only additional step I can take is to drill the wall and have the skimmer drawing air from the outside (or use a CO2 scrubber) but nor really keen on either.

The easiest option of course is to go back to Balling... though after having spent so much money in a reactor+pH probe+CO2 tank+regulator+solenoid valve I would really prefer not too.

What’s Ca reactor set at? Diffusion rate ans bubble count and inner ph?
I got a Ca reactor too and a refugium but my ph is at 8.1~8.4

My Ca reactor have two chamber so the out let ph is about 6.9

Hi, Reactor pH is set to 6.1-6.2, controlled by my Profilux4 pH probe and solenoid. Bubble count is approx 2 per second and effluent is set to a constant flow, not drip. Need to measure it with a graduated cilindre to know.
