Hooked up a korallin 1502 carx 2 days ago and have had it consistently run with 60 drips and 10 bubbles a minute... effluent is at 16.8 dkh and tank alk is running around 8.45... eveeything seems fine... tank ph is at 8.2... only issue im having is that the oh orone in the reactor is reading 5.83!!! Recalibrated probe, its also only a month old... nothing obstructing electrode... there is a 4” gap on top of reactor, so probe is nowhere near the media... what could this possibly be caused by?

It could be a bad probe. Many people will use effluent dkh and bubble count (with a static effluent flow rate) to monitor their calcium reactor... completely foregoing the pH probe. If the tank ALK is stable, then I wouldn't worry about it. The only concern would be your media melting and turning to mush if the pH was too low... but based on your effluent dkh, it doesn't seem to be a problem. BRS has a couple good and recent videos on dialing in a calcium reactor. Check those out.

Couldnt sleep... so I converted a media reactor into a second chamber for the carx setup... so stoked... hope it works
