I have had a consistent ph level of 7.6-7.8 for the life of the tank. I decided to try a co2 scrubber after watching a BRS video how higher ph can increase faster coral growth. Anyway so after installing the co2 scrubber worked as intended and raised the ph to 8.4 within an hour. It’s now day two and my ph has climbed to 8.6. What should I do to dial in the scrubber to maintain 8.4 level ?

I would shut it off for now till someone can share some input I've never used a co2 scrubber before sorry

You need to split off the skimmer air intake to also draw room air. A simple RO valve on the air line will let you adjust the air.

Where do I place the RO valve on the in or out hose of the scrubber ? If I close the in hose with my finger the skimmer stop getting air. So I assume I need a Y fitting with a valve ?

It might be test error, but at that pH I’d use less media in the scrubber.

Thanks Randy.
So if I reduce the amount of media PH will go down but I will have to change more frequently ?
What if I add a valve like W1gnz said by introducing more air ? I just don’t understand where to insert the valve.

yes, less media should remove less CO2. You wouldn’t want to send more air through the media, so a different option is to let in air between the media and the tank water.

Go from the skimmer, to a T fitting, then a valve to the media reactor.
You'll always have free-flowing room air, and can adjust the flow through the scrubber.

Oh ok. I thought I needed to have a valve off the T that supplying the room air. I did notice my that co2 media is being exhausted super quick so it would make sense to have a valve on the scrubber air flow.
