For some reason , my PH keeps spiking at night to 8.43, 8.49 , for some reason happening over winter months and I am not sure why ?

May be measurement error. What is your Alk and what are you dosing?

During winter months with drier air, I find that my indoor CO2 drops as heat is escaping the house. Lower CO2 = higher pH.

A spike means what? An instantaneous rise is likely electrical interference.

Well all day my ph stays under 8.4 , then early evening to morning it goes above 8.4 and down , above and down , sometimes very rapidly

How much pH change are we talking about?

The

PH will rise from 8.27 to 8.4, to as high as 8.53

In how many minutes?

Any pH rise at night when not dosing high pH additives nearby is likely inaccurate.

I would have to look for minutes intervals , I am not dosing anything at night , just run my algae scrubber at night
ATS's can raise pH, and lot's of people use them for that effect, besides the nutrient reduction, when operated on a reverse lighting schedule.

Do you notice if the increase in pH is moderated right after you clean the screen of your ATS?
