I am looking for advice. I have a eshopps psk-100H skimmer. I'm not very knowledgable in this area here. but the air intake tubing I believe is 3/16". if I'm running this any where between 20 - 40 feet. I won't actually see any increase in PH levels. in reality I might actually see a decrease. as my diameter gets smaller the pressure drop will increase drastically. I'm guessing here that I actually want to go with a 3/8" tubing. the pressure drop should be significantly lower over longer lengths that the 3/16" tubing. the 3/8" diameter tubing is right around the "breaking Piont" for air to moderate flow rates. so I want to run a 3/8" diameter tubing into a 3/16" air intake hose on skimmer. connect the 2 hoses using a polypropylene push-to connect Union. do they make a bigger tubing than 3/8" diameter? my next question here is how long should the 3/16" diameter tubing be before I see a decrease in air flow rate? cause I would like to atleast hide the connection UNion in the ceiling of the basement. but if I can't hide it no big deal.

Not sure about the pressure drop but you could use an air bubbler outside and have that push in outside air. Yes they sell larger diameter tubing.

I have a imagitarium sir pump. I believe rated for up to a 60 g tank. gonna give that a try tonight and see if I get any results after an hour of use.
