Ph levels dropping

I'm noticing that my PH levels are dropping lower when I close my cabinet doors. As long as I keep my doors open my PH stays about 8.35 to 8.4. If I close the doors it drops to 7.98 to 8.10.Has anyone else seen this problem.

You are simply seeing CO2 build up in the water, which will drive down pH. Pop a hole in the back (or side) of the stand and put in a small fan.


I did this to my canopy when I was running T5's.....to clear out the heat.

This was from Walmart for less than 10 dollars.

I have a fan In my lower cabinet for cooling In the summer should I run It all the time?

Good info. I don't have a heat issue, but pulling air out with a fan might help with gas exchange. Hmmm..

I'm going to run the fan and see if it makes a difference.

I've heard of pulling my air for my skimmer from the outside air to keep my Ph balanced. Has anyone heard of th is working?
