PH levels too low

We have been doing research on the Kalk dosing and that is our next move. And yesterday we found a new little polyp on our zoanthid finally, so it's growing! It's very exciting. When we got it, it only had four and now it has 5, maybe 6 (it's very tiny so hard to tell for sure yet).

Thanks for all the help everyone!

Yeah kalk is amazing . I dose kalk inside ato. Keeps my salinity stable . 1.026, alk stable , and calcium stable. It’s the best thing for nano. Check out brs videos on YouTube.

How do you dose your kalk in your ATO? I've read one drop per 60 seconds, but I'm not sure how to dose it. We have a 28 gallon cube with the ATO. Would I add more or less or the same? What works for you? Do you use a stirrer? That's what we were thinking of getting. We watched the BRS video on YouTube about adding the stirrer and that's why we were getting one.

No need to waste too much money in hobby. I made my pretty simple. 2 gallon bucket (from winco3-5$ )with drilled hole (on lid) for hose line.try to make it air tight. i use hydrofill pump /controller.you can use any ato kit. I also added a small pump inside, so when it turns on. Both pumps are on
And stirred up the kalk. Starting with kalk is simple. I used brs pharma kalk kit. To setup how much the dose . I usually mix by the gallon.mix with rodi water. Start with low. Test water before . Let’s say your alk is at 8.5(before) . You wait until the one gallon is all dose . Then test again. If it’s too low (example-low like 7.8) , dose more , if it’s too high(example-high like 9.3) , dose less. Took me about 2 times to get it correct. I usually test alk 3 times a week. If alk is good , that means calcium is good. Use a good test kit too. Like salifert or Hanna checker. I use the Hanna dkh HI772 model. I have sps/lps/softies all growing. Just don’t forget about other parameters. Like mag, trace elements by water changes. , especially nutrients. Hopefully this helps. I suck at explaining. If you have questions. Lmk

Best solution(for me)... taking air inlet on skimmer to same diameter pipe to an air pump by my window (15’away)for fresh air. pH in tank from 7.8 to 8.1(night) -8.3(day) Within 48 hours! I also put on 4” air stone onto the other output of Hagen pump... amazing results!

Yesterday, I changed out about 10% of my marine tank (no corals). I used RO water from a new drum. All seemed well until Apex sent me an alert this morning advising that my PH was too low. Normaly, I am able to keep it 7.9 to 8.1 with out any additives. It is now reading 7.3 which is actually a little higher than when I got the alert. Besides the water exchange, there have been no other changes made. Any ideas as to why the decrease in PH and how urgent is it to bring the level up ?

I know this is old, but pH 7.3 is test error. It is not real in a reef tank unless you are pumping in CO2 like an out of control CaCO3/CO3 reactor.
