So the bulb on my ph probe broke. Not sure how long ago but definitely been a couple of weeks. Is there anything in the probe if exposed to saltwater would cause some type of contaminant/metals/liquids to leach?

Yeah I pulled it. Running carbon and Cuprisorb but curious if there is anything that could contaminate the water. Had a couple of corals mysteriously just die. Rainbow monti bleached and shed it’s flesh. Bubble I’ve had for years had some flesh fall off. Torch lost a head. Params were all spot on so it had me scratching my head. This could explain it but not sure if it has the potential to cause these type of issues.I would definitely remove it. Not sure about what contaminates might occur, but wouldn’t hurt to run carbon.
Have to think there are chemicals in them so it wouldn’t surprise me. Only issue is by the time you find out any damage is done.Yeah I pulled it. OK, thanks. I removed it.There is nothing of concern in a pH probe that breaks in reef aquarium water. It contains potassium chloride with a tiny bit of silver. No need to do anything about it except remove the broken probe.
