So I hit a "DOH" moment when attempting to remove my PH probe from my controller to replace it with a good one. It has been on there for the majority of the time my tank has been up. I'd say 3+ years at least. There is some massive corrosion on the connector and it will not come off at all. It actually won't even spin so it's pretty solid.

Is there anything I can do to get this to release and come off?

I tried using Coke but since the formula was changed it doesn't clean anything. I tried baking soda, and also a little veggie oil but nothing will release it. I am considering a wire wheel on the dremel but figured I'd ask here first.

When I get it off, is there something I can put on the connector to make it not corrode so fast? Will electronic grease cause issues with the probe or controller?
