PH probe help

this sounds funny but I'm newbie to ph proble. I just bought a new ph proble and it came with a cap with liquid in it that covers the tip of the probe.

What should I do?
Remove that cap and wash is off before put in the sump? Thank you for your replies

Remove the cap, rinse it off and calibrate to your controllers instructions using pH 7 and pH 10 buffers.

After calibration and a rinse, put probe in sump / tank. Do not allow the top of the probe to go underwater. This could potentially ruin the probe. Keep the top above water. That's it.
