Hey y’all,
I have crushed coral and arag alive special grade as my substrate. I’m also running a ai prime fuge light + 2 tunze refugium lights and 2 radion xr15 blues in a 48in t5 hybrid fixture. Noticed my pH is crazy high…is this even possible?!? I haven’t seen people get there pH above 8.3 easily. No coral in the tank yet. My pH is recently calibrated. Thoughts?

It is likely that it is no longer calibrated even if done recently. Do you have about pH test kit to test against the Neptune?

also did you check to make sure there are. I bubbles in the probe?

No bubbles. And it goes up consistently with how long the fuge light is on.

Cant rely on apex mine says 8.42, but compared to lab grade real deal probe its 8.2. Even after calibration. If it were really that high you would find precipitation problems somewhere.

That’s a super good point, hopefully it’s still pretty high. Ultimate test is when I get acros in there and just seeing how quick they go.

Mine runs 8.2-8.55 during day. 0 problems with precipitation. Checked with 4 different tests and instruments. Have outside line to skimmer.
