PH question

Hey guys, I have a PH question that i need some help with.

When i started up my tank and had it running i seemed to have my ph on the low (7) end so i ended up running a fresh air line outside to feed to my skimmer. It has been working ok since i did it afew months ago, it had raised my ph to around 7.9 - 8. But for the last week my ph has seemed to drop back down to 7, I checked the skimmer its working good and i also checked the line to make sure it was not clogged and its clear, Dose anyone know why my PH with a fresh air line to out side might be so low?

Check your connections. If your tubing is connected on the air silencer. if the cap can pop off. I have a bubble magus curve 7 and the cap was halfway open lol.

What are you measuring Ph with?

I doubt it's really 7.

Apex prob, I was going to double check to see if anything was maybe wrong with it this weekend.

chances are then it's the probe, 7 is extremely low, especially with a skimmer being fed with fresh air.

I agree that pH 7 is not real in a reef tank.
