My Ph has been hovering around 8.00 or at least that’s what I can interpret from the API kit and while this is acceptable, I want it closer to 8.3-8.4.

I went ahead and ran a line from my skimmer intake to the outside. While my skimmer is still working, I have noticed no raise in Ph.

I was curious if this has to do with the design of the skimmer itself (Bubble Magis Curve 5) and how it does not dump water out like some larger, less space saving skimmers.

Was running a line outside for nothing?

Hi
I changed my skimmer from reef octopus 3000 to regal 300 sss. Previous my Ph ran from 7.8 to 8.16, I have also kalk reactor to help my ph, soda lime and I turn off my calcium reactor
After installed my new big boy skimmer my ph changed from 8.1 to 8.33.
When my soda limes is exhausted and ph drop from 7.98 to 8.2
So the bigger skimmer inject more aire to my tank
